Broken Capillaries

Question :

What causes broken capillaries and how can they be treated? I've heard that vitamin K cream works. Is that true?

Answer :

Broken capillaries can be caused by a variety of things, including exposure to the sun, genetics and consumption of alcohol. Use of vitamin K cream to treat broken capillaries is controversial because the efficacy of topical application is still unproven. Instead, I would recommend a vascular laser, such as a pulsed-dye or Iriderm to treat those broken capillaries. Lasers are able to successfullly close down" dilated spider veins in the legs.
